Father Davis
Father Robert Davis is a native Texan (and cradle Southern Baptist). His undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas and Houston’s Institute for Legal Studies led to investigative research work for entities such as the FBI, CIA and DEA. He later worked as a retail buyer and regional coordinator, and managed one of the nation’s largest classical music stores.
Father served the Church as a layman in capacities ranging from Sunday School teacher to cathedral youth group leader, during which time he led a large group of teens on pilgrimage to Taizé, France (with stops in Paris, Reims, Beaune, Vezelay and Cluny). Following theological studies at Oxford University and Regent College at the University of British Columbia, he attended St. Joseph of Arimathea Theological College in Berkeley, where he trained for the priesthood.
In his free time, Father enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, the family’s spritely young English Cocker Spaniel, traveling, listening to music, playing basketball, bowling, old school video games (ever heard of Atari?) and eating chocolate.

Deacon Faith
Deacon Brian Faith has been serving at St. Augustine’s in Chico for over 7 years. He also teaches history at Paradise Charter Middle School in Paradise, CA. At home he is the husband to his wife of eighteen years, Cassandra and father to his three sons, Spencer 12, Erik 9, and Owen 5. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, traveling with the family and seeking God through further study of His word and fellowship with other believers.
Megan Phillips

By day, Megan Phillips is a full time legal secretary and happy resident of Santa Barbara, California. She graduated in 2005 from Westmont College with a double major in Religious Studies and Philosophy and married a fellow graduate in 2007. Ever since her first “overnight adventure” with the Girl Scout troops at age six, she has been hopelessly addicted to the outdoors and new experiences in general. For one year she directed a Presbyterian high school youth group in San Diego which consisted of over 200 students, and has lead a number of overseas missions trips around the globe, allowing her to minister in places like Jordan, Israel, Australia, Thailand and Cambodia.
In her free hours Megan likes to surf, read, play video games, and compete competitively with her outrigger canoeing team.

Eric Smith
Eric Smith has been a counselor at St. David’s for five years. He is studying to get his Masters in Biology atCal Poly Pomona, where his research has him studying bacterial protein secretion. He is furiously writing his thesis and hopes to graduate sometime this year. His uncanny knowledge of woodland flora and fauna as well as his Eagle Scout accomplishments have come in handy on numerous occasions. He currently worships and serves as an acolyte at Church of Our Savior in Los Angeles. An avid video gamer, reader and painter of models, Eric sees camp as the highlight of his year and feels that the campers often teach him more than he could ever teach them.
Brenton Strine
Brenton graduated from Westmont College in 2006 with a double major in Philosophy and English. He will graduate this summer with a Masters degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary.
He has a variety of Christian camp experience, including as a counselor at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp where he led his cabins through various activities including backpacking trips, ropes courses, skits, lake activities and bible studies. He has worked at Mount Hermon as a ropes course instructor and Adventure Facilities staff member. There he coached and encouraged frightened families and youth through the redwood tree courses 70 feet above the forest floor, off the leap of faith, various rock walls and other ropes course activities, as well as leading field games and other family activities. He also is training to become a project leader for Adventures in Missions, which facilitates church groups short trips to domestic and international locations, beginning with a missions trip to Las Vegas this summer.
